Cabling
- High quality category-5 or 5e UTP 4-pair cable, roughed-in and appropriately
terminated on both ends, perfect for Fast Ethernet (100Mbps) networks. For data
applications, we terminate all four pairs of wire at each end of a run in preparation for
the planned Gigabit Ethernet standard (1000Mbps) which will run over category-5 cable
without need for retrofit. The same category-5 cabling can be used for your
telephone system as well. |

Infrastructure - We provide everything needed for a turnkey wiring
infrastructure: RJ-45 outlets, faceplates, and appurtenances; raceway and all types
of wire management devices, including patch panels. |
| Data Transmission
Infrastructure - As a 3Com netWorking partner, we recommend, supply, install and
configure 3Com hubs, switches and related devices, including the 3Com SuperStack II line,
which is designed for future growth through stackability and leveraging the original
investment. |

Infrastructure - Uninterruptable power supplies, server racks/tables, KVM
(Keyboard - Video - Mouse) switches, print servers, audio-visual equipment: all supplied
and configured for your needs. |
| Servers &
Workstations - Lyrex MicroSystems workstations and servers, or units custom-built
to your specifications, with every performance and storage feature you prefer. These
are supplied either without an operating system, or with the system and applications of
your selection. |

| Network
Deployment - Enterprise Technology will load and configure your client-server
operating system as well as set up each of your client workstations for operation within
your new network. For small businesses we highly recommend Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server 4.5
(SBS), an affordable client-server system designed to run well on a single computer, for
organizations which anticipate 50 or less concurrent users at a time (actual number of
employees can be much higher). We provide a complete turnkey setup of SBS, including
internet account connection, organizational email, system-wide fax service, user accounts
and security, file sharing, Virtual Private Networking, Internet proxy, print services,
etc. We also set up each workstation for network authentication, file access, email
access and Outlook2000 collaboration, and Internet access through the main server.
In addition, we will assist in setting up your personal laptop or home desktop computer
for remote logging into your office network. |
